I am still saying a few prayers for him

Charles Sylvestre

This man has hurt alot of people in my diocese. He will continue to hurt people because of the millions that will be spent on helping the victims and the parishiners with overcoming this abuse. I definitely do not agree with what he did, I feel very strongly that what he did was wrong and he abused his position as a Priest...and yes I agree with Bishop Fabbro that he should have his title of Priest removed (petition was sent to Rome but he died before it was dealt with).

Even with all those things considered this was a man. A sinner. It is not up to me to judge people...therefore I will say a few prayers for his soul.

Prayers needed for ME

I think I have a hernia. That is my professional medical dx. But remember I am a RN, not a Dr. lol.

I've noticed this since the summer. But being a nurse I've put it off and joking said I am waiting until I need emergency surgery.

Well last night I was sure that was going to happen. Only I was at work and couldn't leave right away. I needed to finish my pills and then I could go.

I have never been in that much pain. Not when my tooth was infected, not when I had my babies. It felt like all the muscles above my belly button were ripping, it felt like this huge lump was a creature inside of me about to rip its way out of my skin.

It took about 2 hours but I was finally able to push it back in. Then I felt better. Trip to Emerg avoided.

So now on Monday I will be calling my dr trying to get an earlier app't before Feb. Hopefully I can get it and they can fix up my "hernia" before I really do need emergency surgery.

Please say a prayer for me...

St. Drogo pray for me
St. CONRAD of Piacenza pray for me
St. Theresa pray for me
St. John of God pray for me

ps I am scared...usually not scared about these things but if I need surgery how will I manage the daily tasks at home. Abd surgery requires no lifting at all for a period of time and no heavy lifting for up to 12 weeks. You know...there's shovelling, taking the garbage out, laundry up and down, groceries...etc. I probably just worry too much.

Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come; before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

One of my favourite prayers...I tried uploading a beautiful pic of Mary...but blogger isn't very friendly today. lol

I added

A little icon on the rt sidebar about the daily Mass readings...now I don't have to search for my little book which the queen loves to take and never put back. :)

Just wanted to share

Yesterday my youngest (the future saint) found out it was Epiphany.
She wanted to celebrate...by throwing her spagetti up in the air. LOL.

Then after dinner she continued to celebrate by making a special treat consisting of mixed up yogurt, cottage cheese and whatever else she could find to put in it.

And she said a special prayer thanking baby Jesus for the 3 wise men.

Epiphany

Hope everyone has a great day today...and remember to say a prayer and ponder the meaning of the visit of the Wise Men today.

Epiphany is one of my favourite days for some reason. I just get so much joy out of realizing that these men searched for the newborn King and found him. I think it's because throughout my life I have searched for the same thing also.

A day late

Yesterday was the memorial of Mary, Mother of God...it is one of the only two Holy days of obligation are in Canada.

Unfortunately there were not many people at Mass...they just don't don't seem to understand what a Holy Day is...we actually only had one mass...alot different than the 8 masses for Christmas.

I've tried to upload a pic...but blogger won't let me.

Hope everyone has a Happy and Wonderful New Year...I know I will, can't get much worse than last year.
