For a personal intention

Novena Prayer to
St. Maximilian Kolbe

O Lord Jesus Christ, who said, "greater love than this no man has that a man lay down his life for his friends,"
through the intercession of St. Maximilian Kolbe whose life illustrated such love, we beseech you to grant us our petitions . . .
(here mention the requests you have).

Through the Militia Immaculata movement, which Maximilian founded, he spread a fervent devotion to Our Lady throughout the world. He gave up his life for a total stranger and loved his persecutors, giving us an example of unselfish love for all men - a love that was inspired by true devotion to Mary.
Grant, O Lord Jesus, that we too may give ourselves entirely without reserve to the love and service of our Heavenly Queen in order to better love and serve our fellowman in imitation of your humble servant, Maximilian. Amen.

My disability allows me to rely completely on Jesus.

I found this on another blog and it really spoke to me. We all have some type of disability that will allow us to rely on Jesus.

St. Monica

I feel a special bond to St. Monica. I use to pray to her for dh and my son. Dh became Catholic this past spring and now we all attend mass as a family. Thank you St. Monica. I truly believe without your intercession this would not have happened.

Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant me that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for me, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear my plea for

(Mention your intention here.)

and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.

Amen.

Just for fun

You Are a Blueberry Flavored Popsicle

You are a very unusual person. For you, summer is all about adventure and travel.

You are brilliant and bright. Your mind is always sharp and working at full capacity.

You seek out new and different experiences. You get bored very easily.

You are very creative. Of all of the types, you're the most likely to invent a new popsicle.

Another angel

One of my coworkers lost her boyfriend over the week-end. She is 20, he was 21. He was a funeral director in town. It was an ATV accident, she saw it and had to go 4 km on her own to get help after it happened. I just can't imagine how horrible that must have been. Please remember Katie and Darryl in your prayers.

Eternal rest grant to him.
May perputal light shine on him.
May he rest in peace.

The bus tragedy

First off I really wanted to post pics of these 2 people but the rt click button doesn't work on my mouse so that's kinda difficult. These two people met on a greyhound bus in Canada. In the prairies. They sat side by side. Vince is accused of killing Tim in such a horrific and graphic manner I can only assume he was insane. With me suffering with my own mental illness ghosts this really touches me. All I can do is pray for both of these men, their families and those on the bus which will be forever changed by this tragic event.

Tim Mclean
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.

Amen.

Saint Dymphna
Lord, our God, you graciously chose St. Dymphna as patroness of those afflicted with mental and nervous disorders. She is thus an inspiration and a symbol of charity to the thousands who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all suffering such trials, and especially those for whom we pray Vince Li.

We beg you, Lord, to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna on our behalf. Grant all those for whom we pray patience in their sufferings and resignation to your divine will. Please fill them with hope, and grant them the relief and cure they so much desire.

We ask this through Christ our Lord who suffered agony in the garden. Amen.
